Day 5: Leaving Switzerland for…

We started the day saying goodbye to our lovely chateau in the Alps.
Boarded another plane.
To land in a place where I was apparently allowed to bring my black cats if they had paperwork!
Those tents remind us of the Denver airport! Are we in Denver?
Just kidding! We’re in freaking Amsterdam!!! 🇳🇱🧡🇳🇱🧡🇳🇱🧡
We knew it was a city of bikes but nothing really prepares you for the quantity.
We couldn’t just stop smiling from the moment we arrived.
Where we are staying is a second building owned by the hotel. Super old and on one of the canals.
Across the canal (excuse the construction, they are installing a new gas line.
More from across the canal.
We’re here for mom to work and so we met up for dinner with her colleague, Harm, who has to be the greatest host of the city.
We went to a steak house called Loetje and had delicious steaks all around and fries in mayo ( OMG so good) and a salad!
Because of the construction in front of our place, Harm had to take a few detours around the city and then spotted one of the last windmills in Amsterdam! It has a brewery in it so we went for a drink!
I really thought we would have to go out into the country to see one of these!
It’s also an old bathhouse with different entrances for genders.
Hours of the old bathhouse under an old windmill in Amsterdam if you ever need it.
This is Brewery of the Egg. It was fun!
And we bathed in the bathhouse in beer! Just kidding. We drank the beer.

The details and textures all over this hotel are something else. Like, we could make beautiful dress out of them!

We have almost naked babies watching over us while we sleep.
Just the hallway of our building.
What a fun and beautiful place. We have only been here a few hours and it’s been wonderful. Morgen meer 🇳🇱🧡🇳🇱🧡🇳🇱🧡
