Day 3: Zurich > Lichtenstein > Flums > Interlaken

We’re in Switzerland because Mom’s work sent her over to meet employees and so we hit the road early just to do that!

The Alps slapped us in the face as soon as we left Zurich.
The major thing we noticed besides the mountains was how many tunnels there are. Instead of zig zagging up and down these mountains, they just drill these beautiful holes into them. I wonder if Swiss cheese inspired this idea? 🤔
While we’re planning this trip, Mom thought it would be fun to pop over to Lichtenstein for breakfast and so we did!
The town was very cute, clean and quiet at 7AM.
Pastries at the cafe!
I guess they have glow in the dark chickens here.
Who could ever get sick of looking at these mountains!
We then left for Flums, where Willson Brass is located. Oh darn, a pretty waterfall!
The show room!
The show room with a view!
They don’t currently use this anvil, but they made trumpets 🎺 with it back in the day!
We found this man giving us a demonstration on the anvil.
We were given a catered lunch with the employees of a regional dish called Pizzoccheri.
It was actually super fun to sit at a table with German speakers and some English speakers trying to get to know each other. But the sounds of everyone quiet and spoons hitting the bottom of a bowl of desert was quite funny.
The weather was on and off but when it was on, the views were spectacular.
Who gave Switzerland permission to be this beautiful!?
Dropping into the area around Interlaken.
Can you find the waterfalls?
Our hotel is not too shabby. We’re in the center portion, 5th floor, in the arch on the left.
The view from our room as soon as we stepped in.
The town is what you imagine a Swiss Alpine town to look like.
We capped the day off with dinner at the bar.
With a side of a fancy cocktail.
Bis schpöter 🇨🇭
